Our Story

In 2015 Russell Logan co-founded Armstrong Indigenous Property Group (AIPG)

With a group of talented specialists who had a vision to create a strong and authentic Aboriginal property management company. The venture aimed to enhance the quality of life for Aboriginal people in the Northern Rivers of NSW through culturally appropriate management of properties for the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office.

Properties came slowly and the other directors moved on to other projects, with Russell staying on as the sole director of a 100% owned Aboriginal Community Housing Provider (ACHP). The initial portfolio of ten properties dropped to 9 when one of Russell’s tenants achieved the goal of home ownership. Shortly after, another tenant left and achieved this dream in the private real estate market making Armstrong Indigenous Property Group the only ACHP to ever achieve 20% home ownership for tenants.

Pushing through the challenge of keeping a small portfolio a viable business, Russell continued to advocate for mob experiencing desperate need in a footprint where Bundjalung people have been economically dispossessed from Country for years.

In 2022

In 2022 Russell recognised it was time to evolve in order to pursue the growth that was always just beyond the reach of AIPG. Together with Aunty Maureen Logan and Sharyn Logan, Russell established Coodjingburra HOME Limited, a not for profit charity with a fresh strategic plan for extending his capacity to Help Our Mob Everywhere.

During the 23/24 financial year

During the 23/24 financial year Coodjingburra HOME’s property portfolio more than doubled and as 2024 comes to a close we are poised to receive our 26th Aboriginal Housing Office property.
